  • utilize the wide variety of resources available for a literature review within the Columbia system
  • organize, prioritize, and plan ahead for their upcoming thesis/capstone/dissertation efficiently
  • recognize the benefits of using citation management software
  • use Informationist services appropriately
  • employ campus IRB procedures in their thesis/capstone/dissertation where appropriate
  • identify the services available through the Writing Center
