Need a hands-on session about the survival skills necessary for good scientific research? This class will give you the chance to conduct searches, utilize citation managers and critique articles under the supervision of an Informationist.

Who should attend: Students working on their thesis, dissertation or review assignment.

Objectives:

By the end of this class, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and distinguish between background and foreground information
  • Prioritize and plan ahead for upcoming projects effectively
  • Create a research strategy in which sources are assessed and used appropriately

Class Pre-Requisite: Have a citation manager of your preference installed on your computer. Please BRING your computer to this class!
